Gosh, just think of the musical vistas you could open up for someone who's never heard American music! Throw in some Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, John Prine, some Motown, Miles Davis, Zappa, Stevie Ray Vaughan... anything blues or jazz, just omit the disco and rap shit. I would be handing this guy stacks of CDs...

I'm more of a Mac guy, but work with both platforms... and know WinXP better than Vista... but I've always found Windows Media Player to be a bugger. I think it has problems managing a variety of file types, i.e. .mp3 and .mv4 etc. If you have another program for burning CD's, like Nero, try that instead of the Windows product.

and congrats on a very interesting venture, you must be a really hardy soul.

Hardy or nuts. I did spend a fair amount of time chasing a certain not-exactly-hip-or-glamorous band around, and I still listen to the stuff eons later, so that may tip the balance towards "nuts" ...

Wait - they're not hip and glamorous?
I was misled.

Only Jerry. He was a fashion trendsetter, of course. Why do you think everyone in NYC wears black?
